SPONSORING

KYOCERA as partner at the IIHF World Championship May 2010

Starting with the upcoming tournament in Germany on 7 - 23 May 2010 KYOCERA becomes the Official Print and Copy Partner and also the Official Data Sponsor for the IIHF World Championship.

A cumulative audience of 750 million for last year’s event in Switzerland was the proof point that investing in the IIHF World Championship would be valuable. The event fascinates fans around the globe and offers KYOCERA a superb communication platform to increase its brand awareness in traditional ice hockey markets such as Scandinavia and Eastern Europe - important markets for us.

As an Official Sponsor KYOCERA will offer a print and copy service in all three of the championship venues - Cologne, Mannheim and Gelsenkirchen - providing copy services to the Organising Committee, the media centre and the on-site offices, 24 hours a day. During the events more than half a million pages will be printed and copied.

Last July KMSP became Atlético de Madrid Football Club new sponsor. The soccer club, founded in 1903 is one of the most important soccer teams in the nation, along with Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.

As the Madrid team with the biggest working-class following, Atletico have always tried to do things differently to their eternal city rival, Real Madrid. Their trophy cabinet may not be as full as their neighbour’s, but they remain one of Spain’s most successful and best-loved clubs. Despite being cast adrift for two years in Spanish football’s second tier, the legendary loyalty and devotion of the long-suffering supporters never wavered. The second division years saw Atletico beat season ticket records and continue to pack the stadium until their triumphant return in 2002.

KMSP has the right to sponsor its brand along with Atlético de Madrid, placing KMSP´s logo in Atlético´s official jersey and training equipment, at the Vicente Calderón stadium and training facilities using field boards and banners, VIP box and VIP areas, or at Altético´s website and the official magazine. This particular sponsorship between KMSP and Atlético de Madrid has been received with enthusiasm and excitement by all KYOCERA managers, employees, dealers and customers. The sponsorship will increase in the near future KMSP´s brand recognition, sales and revenue.

KYOCERA MITA UK is proud to its corporate sponsorship of Reading FC during the club’s first season in the English Premiership in 2006. The club and its management is fast building a reputation as one of the most highly respected and professional clubs in the UK. After winning the league Championship with a record points total in 2006, Reading FC has gone on to make a powerful impact on the Premiership. Watched by almost 500 million people in over 200 countries, the Premiership is the most popular football league in the World. KYOCERA's association with the Premiership therefore presents it as one of the World’s leading brands.

The KYOCERA Brand Symbol was featured extensively on internal and external areas of the club's Madejski Stadium and on the club's home and away strip. The sponsorship was about more than just a name on a shirt however, with the club and company working together on several community and charitable activities. The presence of players from Ireland, Iceland, United States of America, Korea and several African Nations expands the benefits of the sponsorship internationally, too.

Coinciding with this stadium sponsorship was the official opening of a KYOCERA MITA office in Sao Paolo, Brazil. This soccer sponsorship program is part of KYOCERA MITA's brand strategy to significantly enhance awareness in Latin America, beginning with Brazil, one of the largest markets.

In addition to the naming rights to KYOCERA Arena, KYOCERA MITA partners with Clube Atletico on a variety of marketing initiatives, including having the KYOCERA logo displayed on all team jerseys.
