Environmental Policy

  • KYOCERA MITA South Africa is committed to protecting, the environment, conserving natural resources and striving to be an exemplary corporate company.
  • We will accomplish this through efforts to reduce our consumption of energy and material, re-use items when possible and by recycling discarded material instead of disposal wherever possible to minimise adverse environmental impacts associated with our products and activities.
  • We will comply with applicable Local, Provincial and Governmental regulatory requirements.
  • The environmental management system will include implementation and periodic review of objectives and targets to reduce negative impact on the environment.
  • We are committed to continual improvment in environmental performance and prevent pollution whenever possible.
  • We will communicate with and train all relevant persons working for KMSA to make environmental protection their responsibility.





Tips for ECO-friendly printing

  • Print and photocopy documents double-sided (Duplex) to reduce wastage and cost
  • Don't overprint documents. Take care to calculate how many copies you really need to cut down on wastage
  • Use proof and hold to ensure a document is correct before printing a long run
  • Ensure your electrical equipment is Energy Star compliant
  • Ensure photocopiers, multifunctional products and printers are switched off at night
  • Set your printer or photocopier's sleep mode, so that when it is not actually printing / copying the energy consumption is minimal
  • Ensure proper maintenance of office equipment to enable them to work more efficeintly
  • Use non-chlorine bleached environmentally responsible paper or 100% recycled paper
  • Identify a paper collection point in the office for recycling bins to dispose waste paper
